August Goals

I’ve been working so hard to get this blog launched, that I haven’t taken the chance to put down my goals for this month. I always have tons of goals in my head, but I’m really bad about putting them in writing. I really want to be more accountable, so here goes.

Blog Goals

  1. Publish content at least four times a week until I have 30 posts done.
  2. Comment on at least five blogs  each day, with three new ones per week.
  3. Learn at least one new thing on WordPress per week.

Financial Goals

  1. Write a budget and stick to it. We have really slacked on this lately.
  2. Continue to save as much money as possible for our first rental property. We should close by the end of the month.
  3. Don’t buy any convenience store items. I am guilty of this if I am late for work sometimes.

Life Goals

  1. Limit myself to one diet soda per day, not from the convenience store.
  2. Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables at least five days per week.
  3. No eating out for the rest of the month.

There you have it. I’ll update at the beginning of the month and see how I did.

  1. There are many SEO plugins for wordpress you can install if you haven’t already. It will give you more search engine traffic to your site. I use the SEO by Yoast plugin, but there are other good ones out there too. It’s great you’ve written down what you want to do. Life Goals # 3 sounds like a nice challenge. Earlier this year I did a 25 no-spend-days in a month so it’s possible as long as you make the commitment. Good luck with your goals 😀

  2. Based on your content here, you should also consider joining Yakezie. I knew zippo about blogging when I started and that group taught me a TON. Email me any time if you want help or tips as you launch. Great job so far!

  3. Writing (or typing) my goals usually helps me achieve more. Feel free to email me (email captured in the comment form) if you need any help or have any blogging questions; I would be happy to help. 🙂
