I Have Joined the Yakezie Challenge!

I have officially joined the Yakezie Challenge! Why would I do that so soon when my rank is over 3.5 million? In my short blogging life, I have already come into contact with so many supportive, like minded people. I have always been active in organizations dealing with my day job profession, and have seen the power in numbers. I have no backgroud in computer skills, but I do have financial experiences that I think are worth sharing. Honestly, most days I feel like I have no idea what I am doing tech wise, and the Yakezie forum will give me a place to seek those answers. Hopefully at some point, I will be able to give advice to somene like myself. Can my blog actually make it to 200,000 in six months? I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be dissapointed if it didn’t. Really, though, having a goal and learning and sharing with this community is reward enough. I’ll keep you updated!

Please feel free to share any feedback about things I can improve upon. I never get offended unless you call me names!

  1. YAY! Welcome to the Yakezie Challenge, Kim. 🙂 Don’t really worry about the Alexa rank, it’s gonna drop in a month or two anyway.

I’ve been waiting for you to post this; I wanted to be the first to comment on it. Feel free to email if you ever need any help.

  2. Welcome to the party! I’m with Jen: you’ll make it no problem because you take part in the community, build your own community, and post often. You’ll find out later that Alexa is a nice way to ease into stat-tracking, but it isn’t the end-all-be-all. Give me a shout if you need help w/ anything (although my friends are amazed that I know how to use my opposable thumbs…)

  3. Thanks for the support. Sorry my site thinks your spam!

  4. Prepare to be deluged with comments like, “Awesome post, Kim!” That’s why, when I looked at this challenge, I couldn’t reconcile joining with my values system. One of my top values comes from Catcher in the Rye: “Don’t be a phony.”

    • I think you should always choose what works for you and never compromise what you believe. I, however, need lots of help. I also need someone to hold me accountable or I would probably just give up, like right now when I have no idea how to change the setting on my social media icons! I can tell that you say it like it is. I look forward to following your site. Sarcasm is highly underrated sometimes.

  5. Jenna, Adaptu Community Manager

Just found your blog by way of Budgeting in the Fun Stuff! Good luck with the Yakezie Challenge!

  6. Welcome to Yakezie. It’s one of the finest groups you can ever join. I am confident that you will hit 200K way before six month deadline.

  7. I’m so glad you joined the challenge! We both started at about the same time, and I think we both can get below the 200k mark. Here’s to reaching our goals!

  8. Wahoo! Welcome to the challenge! Glad to have you on board and looking forward to following your journey!

  9. Welcome to the challenge. I am looking forward to getting to know you better. Best of luck.

  10. Hi Kim!

Looks like you’re getting closer to that 200K goal. Today you’re at 299,305 which looks to be fantastic progress considering you joined about a month ago. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to getting to know you as I’ve joined the challenge as well!

    • Yes, it’s amazing how fast that number has come down, especially since I still feel like I have no idea what I’m doing. Good luck to you as well.
