Unless your current kitchen is extremely old or in desperate need of repair, it is much better to simply update what you already have. If you do decide to completely renovate your kitchen, stick to a neutral theme that will not clash with the new owner’s furniture.   1. You really need to think things through before making any major renovations to your home before selling. What you may just need to do is a fresh coat of neutral paint on the walls and update a couple of light fixtures or the hardware on the cabinets. Sometimes a few little small changes can make a big difference – it just depends on the state of your home.
