Soggy In Colorado

RainbowI think most of Colorado is soggy and gray today. Our area has not had flooding like those poor souls in the Boulder area, but we’ve gotten more rain that we usually get in months, and more is on the way. Please keep the flood victims in your thoughts this weekend. We usually seem to be in some sort of drought pattern and generally welcome moisture in any form, but we’re hoping for a bit of sunshine at the moment.

If this isn’t your first visit to Eyes on the Dollar, you probably have noticed the new design. There are still a few minor changes that need to be completed, but so far, I’m really happy with the look. One of my 2013 goals was to get a site redesign, and it’s good to check that off the list. September has been a great month so far, and I hope I can keep learning and expanding my knowledge about blogging. It’s really fun to take something from the ground up and see it start to grow.

In family news, we started swim team lessons this week with our daughter. Her group is called the Bubble Blowers, and they are pretty fun to watch.  Coaches who work with young kids have a certain energy that I do not possess, but I’m thankful for them and their willingness to spend time molding little athletes. I volunteered to be the parent representative for the elementary school’s accountability committee. What I do not possess in athletic coaching skills, I can make up for in reasonableness when discussing hot button issues. Whatever  your talent is, there is probably a use for it.

John at Frugal Rules just celebrated one year of blogging. He is giving away $150 to celebrate.

That’s to these fine bloggers for mentioning me this week. I hope it’s a sunny day for you. Let me know if I missed you.

  1. Glad you and the family are doing ok Kim. We have a pretty big client that lives in Colorado Springs that we’ve not heard from for several days so really hoping they’re ok. Thanks so much for the mention, really appreciate it! Great work on the redesign, looks very cool!

  2. So glad you guys are all okay, Kim. Fun stuff about the swimming lessons. 🙂 Great site redesign as well. Have a good weekend, Kim!

  3. I empathize with the people in Boulder! In California, we need rain! We are having a heat wave for the last several weeks and are suffering a drought.

  4. Love the redesign! I used to teach swim lessons to little kids when I was a college student. One of my favorite jobs.
