Things That Make Me Go Hmm

I’ve done several posts this week if you count my two guest ones at BFS and Work Save Live. My original goal was to only publish on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but sometimes you just have too much to say. Actually yesterday’s post was supposed to be for today, and I screwed up the date when I scheduled it. I actually wrote another one but decided it was a better Monday post. To make up for my mistake, I’ll give you the day off from personal finance and share some things that make me go hmmmm…..

6 Months of Blogging!

Today is my 6 month Blogiversary! Apparently that is a milestone because many give up before reaching a mere half year as a blogger. I understand why. I think I knew it would take time because I read and studied for months before working up the nerve to get started. I underestimated how much that amount of time actually meant in units of your day. It’s a good thing I’m a mom. You get used to not needing as much sleep! Having my own blog has given me a place where I can talk write as much as I want. Can’t Take My Eyes Off These Blogs #18-Toy Pony Edition

I am so excited to have four days off to do basically nothing. After Christmas parties, Christmas programs, trying to finish year end business stuff, and filling in for my associate doctor whose wife had a baby a week early, I’m surprised I got anything done this week. If I didn’t make it to your blog, I’m very sorry, but there are only so many hours in the day. It was an exciting week on the blogging front as I had my first 300+ visitor day. I know that’s small beans for many of you guys, but I was pretty happy. Our daughter called an audible in the Santa game this week when she changed her mind and is now asking for a toy pony. Do I tell her that Santa doesn’t last minute shop or suck it up and go find a toy pony? Giveaways You can still enter the giveaways for $100, the iPad 3, or Jeremy’s big cash prize. This isn’t a giveaway, but if you haven’t downloaded Sicorra’s blog planner, you really should. What a great gift for us bloggers. Thanks so much. Guest Posts I was very excited to guest post at Making Sense of ...

December Goals

Wow, it’s almost the end of the year. They just go faster the older you get. I used to roll my eyes when my parents said this, but, as with many things, they were right. December is a whole month of celebrating from the parade last weekend to school parties and programs, to our office Christmas party, for which I am cooking for 15 people! After Christmas, we are heading to see my side of the family in Kentucky. I’ll be gone from the 30th to the 4th, and my mom does not have a very up to date computer. I also don’t want to spend my time off online. I am asking for some awesome blogger friends who might like to submit a guest post for that week to please step forward. I could pre-schedule something, but I won’t be able to comment and interact like normal. I will be forever in your debt and  be happy to return the favor should you ever need to unplug. On to the goals….. Blog Goals 1. Do at least one guest post or blog swap a month. PASS. I did three blog swaps and a guest post.  I hope to do at least ...
