You Don’t Have To Be A Realtor To Work In The Real Estate Field

If you have an itch to get into the real estate field for your new career, you need to go for it! There really is no better time than now to explore your career dreams. However, if you are unsure as to exactly how you are going to be a part of this growing field, you will want to learn about the following career paths. You do not have to be a standard real estate agent. This is not your only option for success.

The appraiser is the person who is sent to the homes that are listed for sale in order to determine its true value. As an appraiser, you may be hired by the seller. His or her desire is to determine just how much money they can list the house for with their real estate agent. Then again, you might find that you are working for the banks.

Before closing on a loan, the bank needs to know that the house they are lending money for is truly worth the amount that they are handing over. This is a fun job within the real estate field because you get to explore a lot of homes, without having a lot of pressure to close on a deal. You simply examine the property and fill out the checklist that you bring with you. You will need to do some research to find out how to earn your real estate appraiser license in your state.

Mortgage Loan Officer

A mortgage loan officer is a great career for someone who loves real estate but also has a real passion for numbers. If you are great at crunching numbers and you want to put that skill to good use in the real estate field, this might be the perfect job for you. Depending on the region where you reside, you may be able to be trained on the job for this position or you may need a degree.

Title Search Specialist

This can be a great entry level position into something that can provide you with a fairly impressive income. In some cases, the quicker you can research the titles and provide accurate information, the more money you can make. It will all depend on who you are working for. If you are working for a lender, you may receive an hourly wage. If you are working independently for a real estate investor or a real estate agent, you may be paid according to the number of title searches you complete.

Property Manager

For those who love to be a little more hands on with the development and management of properties, the career of a property manager might be the perfect fit. You can work for a company that hires multiple property managers or you could start your own business. Being your own boss would allow you to have more control over who you take on as clients and how much money you will be able to make.

As you can see, there are a lot of career choices for someone that wants to get involved in the real estate field, but who does not see him or herself as an agent driving people around looking at houses. Find your calling and put your all into it. You will be a success within your chosen real estate profession in no time at all.
