Eyes on the Dollar 20/20 Roundup #31- Good Things

I am really happy to see this weekend. It seems like my whole family has been battling one illness or another for a few weeks now, but I hope we’re all on the mend. My daughter is in spring cleaning mode, as she labeled all of our bathroom drawers this week! I’m almost afraid to put it in writing, but it looks like the first part of  my business sale is set to close next Friday the 29th, which also happens to be my daughter’s birthday. I want to do a few posts about the experience of selling a business, but I’m not sure if that would be interesting or helpful to my readers. Let me know if you want to hear more about it or if that would bore you to tears. I also have a couple of posts coming up next week about a secret real estate deal that I have been keeping from you. You’ll have to check back Monday if you don’t die of curiosity first.

Eyes on the Dollar 20/20 Roundup #23-Raised By Wolves

Happy Birthday to me today. I am getting this list together a little early so I hopefully won’t have to do any blogging on my birthday. Not that I don’t love it, but some days, you just need a break. We are going to see a program at the library today presented by Wolfwood, a hybrid wolf sanctuary. Since I love animal rescue, this is right up my alley, and there will be two wolf hybrid ambassadors to meet and greet. I can’t wait. I also get a night out with the family at my favorite Mexican restaurant. If they find out it’s my birthday, I’ll have to wear a sombrero while they sing a Mexican version of Happy Birthday.

Can’t Take My Eyes Off These Blogs #18-Toy Pony Edition

I am so excited to have four days off to do basically nothing. After Christmas parties, Christmas programs, trying to finish year end business stuff, and filling in for my associate doctor whose wife had a baby a week early, I’m surprised I got anything done this week. If I didn’t make it to your blog, I’m very sorry, but there are only so many hours in the day. It was an exciting week on the blogging front as I had my first 300+ visitor day. I know that’s small beans for many of you guys, but I was pretty happy. Our daughter called an audible in the Santa game this week when she changed her mind and is now asking for a toy pony. Do I tell her that Santa doesn’t last minute shop or suck it up and go find a toy pony? Giveaways You can still enter the giveaways for $100, the iPad 3, or Jeremy’s big cash prize. This isn’t a giveaway, but if you haven’t downloaded Sicorra’s blog planner, you really should. What a great gift for us bloggers. Thanks so much. Guest Posts I was very excited to guest post at Making Sense of ...

Can’t Take My Eyes Off These Blogs #14-Happy Thanksgiving

We are trying to get ready to make the 6 hour drive to see my husband’s family for Thanksgiving. It looks like the weather will be nice for our travels. I guess the good thing about traveling is that you’re off the hook for cooking. I am really looking forward to a little break. There is tons to say today, so I’ll get right to it. I have had so many breakthroughs since I started blogging. It’s kind of like I was close, but couldn’t really make that last step. I am proud to say that Jake from I Heart Budgets has been generous enough to put our numbers into a Flippin’ Sweet budget. I can cross that off my list. I’ll probably do a whole post about it, but for those of you are nosy curious about our income/expenses, it’s all in black and white for the world to see. Terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time. There seem to be a truckload of giveaways right now, including the one I’m co-hosting for $100. Mandy is giving away the coolest handmade necklace with a great background story. Also, you can still Enter Jason’s or Michelle’s giveaways for a mini iPad! Not ...

Can’t Take My Eyes Off These Blogs #7

It’s the end of the week again and time for another roundup. While the weather is beautiful right now, we had a taste of winter earlier this week. I work a few times a month at a satellite office in Telluride and have to drive over Lizard Head Pass to get there. Lizard Head is well over 10,000 feet, so when it rains at lower elevations, I often have to drive through snow. It was a bit slushy on my way home this week, and I noticed a truck off the road. Luckily everyone was OK, but the truck that went over the bank was not going anywhere. Turns out the stranded drivers lived less than a mile from me, and I was able to give them a ride home. Strange way to make new friends! Giveaways you should check out: Michelle at Making Sense of Sense  is on WordPress now and, to celebrate, is giving away $100 in Paypal cash! Veronica at Pelican on Money got a new writer and is giving away 2 $25 PayPal cash prizes! Crystal at Budgeting in the Fun Stuff is giving away a Fincon Swag Bag and tomorrow is the last day to ...
